Manoli Carzis - Greek Corner
Manoli started life out like any good Greek should, firmly rooted behind the counter at a Café in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. In fact, he was almost born behind the counter on the 1st of April 1979, because his old man wouldn’t believe his mom was in labour (She’s a notoriously good April Fool’s prankster you see…). By the age of five he was way ahead of his Grade 1 classmates in mathematics, thanks to his flawless skills on the till (Jewish Piano as it’s commonly known in the industry). The rest of his school career was spent trying to explain to non-Greek kids how the “No change, take Chappies!” algorithm works. After a 9 year stint in the restaurant industry, which included the time to complete his degree, Manoli joined Softline VIP Payroll as a Consultant in 2005. There he was responsible for the installation and support of payroll software for a wide variety clients ranging from small privately owned businesses with one or two employees, to huge Multi-National Corporations with thousands of employees . In 2009 Manoli moved to Softline VIP’s Research and Development Department as a Business ANALyst (geddit?), responsible for the creation of functional specifications for the company’s Payroll Applications.
Manoli has a beautiful fiancé, Jeanine, and two amazing children, Daniel and Emily. He is an avid cricketer and long-suffering Lions supporter.
